April 9, 2020

As we continue to work tirelessly to deliver you vital information and resources during this unprecedented time, we also wanted to provide you with a detailed update on our commitment to waive two months of your 2020 NCOS/AOA dues.

Since payment and membership types vary for each member, this document was put together - NCOS/AOA Dues Waiver - Payment and Membership Types - which details our new dues amounts, the amount of dues being waived, and how waivers will be processed.

A few things to note:

  • Depending on your payment type you may be issued a refund. The society will begin issuing refunds at the end of April. We ask for your patience as we expect all credit card refunds to be completed by the end of May and all check refunds to be completed by the end of June.

  • If you haven't yet made a dues payment in 2020 or are unable to make your next dues payment, the society is happy to work with you on this. Please email [email protected].

  • If you are employed at MyEyeDr. or Triangle Visions, the society is currently working to issue your dues waiver to them.

  • If you are a new member in 2020 and joined in February or March, your dues waiver amount will be different than the amount on the Membership and Payment Types document. If you have any questions about your dues waiver, please email [email protected].

  • If you do not know your payment type or membership type, or have any other questions, please email [email protected] and the society office will be happy to assist you.

Since our dues waiver announcement, we have been overwhelmed by the generosity shown by some of our members who have elected to forgo their dues waiver for the betterment of the society. For that, we say THANK YOU. Like so many businesses, our non-profit society has not been immune to the effects of this crisis.

If you also wish to forgo your NCOS and/or AOA dues waiver, you can let us know by replying to this email. Please know this is not expected of any member, just know we are incredibly grateful to those that do. This pandemic has impacted us all in different ways. For many of you, this dues waiver provides much needed financial relief. The NCOS and AOA are proud to be able to assist you during this difficult time.

As always, thank you for membership and continued support.
