Legislative Day

Save the Date! Legislative Day will take place on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. Registration will open soon.

Legislative Day is an annual event that provides North Carolina Optometric Society members the opportunity to gather in Raleigh to meet with their legislators and advocate for their patients, practice, and profession. 

Our collective voice helps to strengthen our efforts to make real progress in North Carolina optometry, and the more members that attend the bigger the impact we have!

During the day we also host a lunch in a big tent on the Halifax Mall for legislators and their staff. The lunch is a favorite among those at the legislature and is always very well attended.
