How do I get free registration? Email Kristen Rauch, Membership Coordinator, at [email protected] to receive a special discount code that you will enter at checkout. You must attend the Advancing Optometry Reception on Friday evening as well as all Saturday events, including the NCOS Overview, New Licensee Introductions and the Young OD Event to receive free registration. If you do not, you will be charged the registration fee.

When do I need to register by? You must register by 10/31/23.

Do I need CE hours? Per the North Carolina State Board of Optometry: If you graduated in the spring of the calendar year in which you have been licensed, the Board considers the time spent in your academic training as fulfilling the total requirement for the calendar year; however, all licensees will be required to fulfill the opioid course requirement. Those who are being licensed in a year other than the year of your graduation from optometry school, are expected to meet the total requirement. Click here for more information.

Where can I stay in Asheville? For your convenience, a room block is available at the Renaissance Downtown Asheville. Room rates start at $284/night. The group rate will be active while rooms are available or until 10/11/23, whichever occurs first. Reservation information, including a special group link for our hotel block, will be provided in the event registration confirmation email.

Do I have to be a member of the NCOS to attend? No. This seminar is open to all 2023 NC New Licensees, however we would love for you to join the NCOS! Click here to fill out our online membership application.

What if I have additional questions? Please contact Paul Kranze at [email protected].
